Workshops

Train the people in your church who want to make disciples

Every church has people who want to help others follow Jesus and have never been shown how. These workshops show them, in the room, with the Bible open, and send them home to do it that week.

Practice, not a talk

People reproduce what they have seen done and believe they could do themselves. So every module is built around doing it: a live Bible study, practice in small groups, and a name and a date before anyone leaves.

A single workshop is a beginning, not a finish line. Each module ends with what to do in the weeks after, so the training keeps going once the chairs are stacked.

Three ways to hold a workshop

The same modules, whichever way you choose.

Run it yourselves

Choose the modules, print the handouts and follow the facilitator notes. The notes give each segment’s minutes, steps and the words to say, so whoever leads has the whole session in hand.

Plan your workshop

We come to you

We teach the workshop in person at your church, with your leaders alongside us so they can run the next one.

We teach it online

The same workshop over video, live with your group. Good for churches far from us, or for a series of evenings.

Build your workshop

Each module stands on its own. Combine them into a single evening, a full day or a series of weeks.

Tick the modules you want, then put your day in order in the agenda: move each module and meal up or down.

  • Participants do a Discovery Bible Study together, then learn the five habits of the person who leads one, and every one of them practices leading before they go home.

  • Participants discover in the Bible itself that Jesus sends every one of His followers to make disciples, see why only an ordinary believer can multiply, and practice turning an invitation to church into a witness.

  • Participants see what the woman at the well's witness was made of, write their own story in four short beats, say it aloud to two different people, and leave with a name and a day to tell it.

  • Participants discover in Luke 10 how Jesus sent His followers into a town, learn five marks of a person God has prepared, map their own networks and pray over the names, and practice offering one person a Bible study.

  • A church's leadership team maps every class and group it runs on one wall, sees where disciple makers are produced and where they are not, drafts what it will count from now on, and writes its first step with names and dates.

Planning a workshop yourselves

Five steps, most of them before the day itself.

  1. Pick the modules below and see how long your day runs.
  2. Turn on teacher mode (the switch is at the bottom of every page) to open each module’s facilitator notes and handouts.
  3. Whoever will lead reads the facilitator notes and does the module’s practice once with a friend.
  4. Print a handout for every participant and the facilitator notes for every leader.
  5. Before anyone goes home, set the date you will meet again to follow up.

Invite us to teach it

Tell us about your church and what you have in mind. We will write back to talk through format, dates and what it would take, on-site or online.

Send us a note

We read every message and will follow up personally.
