  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • How does Jesus answer the question about the greatest commandment, and what does he point out about the widow's offering?

  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • In the parable of the tenants, the owner keeps sending messengers. How has God patiently kept reaching out to you?

  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • The widow gave 'everything she had to live on.' What would giving God your whole self — not your leftovers — change this week?

  4. Who will I tell?

    • Jesus told the scribe, 'You are not far from the kingdom of God.' Who do you know who is 'not far' — and what conversation might help them the rest of the way?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, you are one, and you ask for all of me — heart, soul, mind, and strength — and for love toward my neighbor. Like the widow, let me give you everything, not what is left over.
