Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.
What does this passage show me about God?
- Why does Jesus delay, what does he tell Martha about himself, and what happens at the tomb?
What does it show me about people — and about myself?
- Jesus asked Martha, 'I am the resurrection and the life… Do you believe this?' What is your honest answer today?
What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)
- Jesus told the people, 'Take off the grave clothes and let him go.' What 'grave clothes' — old habits, old shame — will you take off this week?
Who will I tell?
- Many who saw what Jesus did believed in him. Who needs to hear that Jesus stands at tombs and calls people out into life?
Grow
Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).
Pray
Jesus, you wept at the tomb of your friend and then called him out by name. You are the resurrection and the life; help me believe that, even where death seems to have won.
