   • What different opinions do people hold about Jesus throughout this chapter, and what does Jesus promise to anyone who is thirsty (vv. 37–39)?

   • The crowd was divided — prophet, Messiah, deceiver. Who do the people around you say Jesus is, and who do you say he is?

   • Jesus said that anyone who chooses to do God's will will find out whether his teaching comes from God (v. 17). What will you do this week to test his word by obeying it?

   • Rivers of living water are meant to flow out, not pool up. Toward whom will the water flow through you this week?
