   • Trace the chapter — the feeding of the crowd, the walk on the water, the bread of life teaching. What does Jesus say the 'work of God' is (v. 29)?

   • Many followed for the loaves, and many turned back when the teaching got hard. What do you actually want from Jesus — and what would make you stay?

   • Peter said, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.' What hard word of Jesus will you keep obeying this week instead of drifting from it?
