Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does Jesus tell Nicodemus is necessary to see the kingdom of God, and why did God send his Son (vv. 16–17)?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • Nicodemus came at night, curious but cautious. Where are you still approaching Jesus cautiously instead of trusting him fully?
  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • John the Baptist said, 'He must become greater; I must become less.' What will you make smaller in your life this week so that Jesus becomes greater?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • John 3:16 may be the best-known sentence in the Bible. Who in your life has never really heard it — and how could you share it with them this week?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Father, thank you for loving the world so much that you gave your Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Make me newly born of your Spirit.
