  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • How does the church in Antioch begin and grow in chapter 11, and what happens while the church is praying for Peter in chapter 12?

    • Barnabas 'saw what the grace of God had done, and was glad.' Where are you slow to celebrate what God is doing through others?

  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • The Antioch believers gave 'each according to his ability' for famine relief. What concrete need will you help meet this week?

  4. Who will I tell?

    • It was unnamed, scattered believers who first told Greeks about the Lord Jesus. Who outside your usual circle could you speak to about him?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Father, in Antioch the scattered believers spoke to Greeks as well, and the church prayed until the prison opened. Make me a Barnabas — glad at grace wherever I see it — and persistent in prayer.
