1. What does this passage show me about God?

   • What threatens the church from the inside in these chapters — the lie of Ananias and Sapphira, the complaint about the widows — and how is each one handled?

   • The apostles rejoiced at being counted worthy to suffer disgrace for the Name. How does that compare with how you respond when following Jesus costs you something?

3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

   • The Seven were chosen to serve so the word could keep spreading. What unglamorous act of service will you take on this week?

4. Who will I tell?

   • Even under threats, 'they never stopped teaching and proclaiming that Jesus is the Messiah.' Who on your daily path has still not heard that from you?
