  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does the healing of the lame man set in motion across these two chapters, and how do Peter and John respond when they are ordered to stop speaking?

  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • The council saw that Peter and John were ordinary, unschooled men who 'had been with Jesus.' What do people notice about you?

  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • The believers prayed for boldness, and the place was shaken. What specific boldness will you ask God for this week — and then act on?

  4. Who will I tell?

    • 'We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.' What have you seen God do, and who needs to hear it?

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Lord, when the first threats came, your people asked for more boldness, not more safety. Give me what Peter and John had — courage that comes from having been with Jesus.
