  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does Jesus say about the speck and the log, and what does he promise to those who ask, seek, and knock?

  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • Who have you been judging while ignoring the log in your own eye?

  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • Confess your own fault to that person this week, and do for them one thing you wish someone would do for you.

  4. Who will I tell?

    • What are you asking the Father for right now, and who could you invite to ask with you?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

God, take the log out of my eye before I reach for anyone's speck. And thank you that you give good things to those who ask — teach me to keep asking.
