  1. What does this show me about God?

    • Jesus told Peter this would happen before it did, and still kept him as a friend. What is Jesus like?

  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Peter is not threatened by soldiers — he is asked a question by a servant girl. Why is fear such a strong reason to lie?

  3. What will I obey this week?

    • Where are you most likely to pretend you do not know Jesus? What will you do next time?

  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who has let somebody down badly? What does today say to them?

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Jesus, Peter meant it when he said he would never leave you, and a few hours later he said he had never met you. Thank you that you knew and you loved him anyway.
