Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • Jesus goes to Zacchaeus's house before Zacchaeus changes anything. What does that show about Jesus?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Zacchaeus does not just say sorry — he gives the money back, four times over. What is the difference between being sorry and putting it right?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What do you need to give back, fix, or pay for? When will you do it?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who has been written off by everybody? What could you do this week?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Jesus, you invited yourself to the house of the biggest cheat in town, and he came clean before you asked. Thank you for being kind to people everybody else had written off.
