Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • God comes walking in the garden and asks a question he already knows the answer to. Why do you think he asked instead of just telling them?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • The snake changes God's words just a little. Why is a lie with some truth in it harder to spot than a big obvious one?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • Is there something you are hiding right now? What is one honest sentence you could say about it this week?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who could you tell that God comes looking for people who are hiding?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, the very first thing that went wrong ended with people hiding from you in the trees. Thank you that you came looking anyway. Help me not hide from you.
