Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • God describes himself as merciful, patient, and full of love and truth. What surprises you about that?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • He says it right after his people had let him down badly. What does that tell you about being forgiven?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • Who will you be patient with this week, the way God is patient with you?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who thinks God is angry with them? What could you tell them?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, when you said your own name out loud, you said kind, and patient, and full of love. Thank you that this is what you are really like. Help me remember it.
