Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • Egypt sits in darkness while the Israelites have light in their homes. What does that say about how God looks after his people?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Pharaoh nearly gives in, and then says no. What makes somebody almost change and then not?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What is one thing you keep almost obeying? What will you do about it this week?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who is in a dark time right now? How will you stay near them?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, there was light where your people lived even when everything else went dark. Thank you that you keep me in the dark places. Help me stay close to you.
