Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • The angels ask why they are looking for the living among the dead. What is the answer, and what does it change?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Women bring spices for a dead body and find nothing to use them on. What does it feel like to be that surprised?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What is one thing you will do differently this week because Jesus is alive?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Peter ran to the tomb to see for himself. Who will you tell to come and see?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Jesus, you are alive. Thank you that the story does not end at the cross. Help me live like somebody who believes the tomb is empty.
