Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • God tells Hezekiah, "I have heard your prayer and seen your tears." What does God notice?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Hezekiah has nothing left to say but weeping. Do tears count as praying?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What are you upset about that you have not brought to God? Will you take it to him this week?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who is going through something frightening? Will you pray with them, out loud?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and cried, and before he was finished you had sent your answer back. Thank you that my crying is not wasted.
