    • The answer arrives while he is still praying. What does that tell you about how close God is?

  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • He prays about somebody else's family and somebody else's errand. What does it look like to pray for something that isn't about you?

  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What ordinary thing this week will you actually pray about before you do it?

  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who could you pray for by name today, and then tell them you did?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, this man was not famous and he was not the one with the promise — he was somebody's servant on a long errand, and you answered him before he finished speaking. Thank you that you hear ordinary people doing ordinary jobs.
