Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this show me about God?

    • Abraham asks God the same kind of question six times in a row. What does God's patience with him show you about God?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about me?

    • Abraham says he is only dust and ashes, and then asks again anyway. Can you be small and still speak up?
  3. What will I obey this week?

    • What have you stopped asking God for? Will you ask him again this week?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who has given up on praying about something? What could you say to them?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

God, Abraham asked you six times and you did not once tell him to stop. Thank you that I can keep asking you too. Make me brave enough to ask you for big things.
