Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does Jesus say happens to the branch that abides in the vine, and to the one that does not?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • What helps you stay connected to Jesus, and what pulls you away from him?
  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • What daily habit — his words, prayer — will you practice this week to remain in him?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who could you tell what has changed in you since you were joined to the vine?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Jesus, you are the vine and I am a branch — apart from you I can do nothing. Keep me close to you, and let your joy be full in me.
