Digest

Answer from what the passage actually says — stay in the text.

  1. What does this passage show me about God?

    • What does the angel tell Mary about the child she will bear, and how does she respond?
  2. What does it show me about people — and about myself?

    • What makes Mary's yes to God so costly — and so remarkable?
  3. What will I obey this week? (a concrete step, with a day)

    • What is one thing God is asking of you this week where you could answer like Mary did?
  4. Who will I tell?

    • Who could you tell this week about the girl who said yes to God's impossible news?

Grow

Growth is God's part, not yours. Do the cycle faithfully and trust Him to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Pray

Lord, Mary heard news that would change everything and answered, 'Let it be to me according to your word.' Give me the same trust when your plans interrupt mine.
