How Jesus and Philip Chose
Two biblical examples — start where the person is, move toward Jesus.
When Jesus taught two disciples on the Emmaus road, he “began with Moses and all the Prophets” and worked his way to himself (Luke 24:27). When Philip met the Ethiopian, he started with the very passage already in front of the man and pointed him to Jesus (Acts 8:35). Both did the same thing: start where the person is, and move on purpose toward Jesus. A Bible study plan is simply that road, planned ahead of time.
