Step 5 of 5 · Done for you
Embedded
Byron joins your staff, fractionally, and builds disciple-making into your church.
Set in the alignment meeting
Embedded is a seat on your staff, not a consultant who visits. Byron works as your fractional discipleship minister — remote through the year and on site twice a year — standing up the whole rhythm with your people: finding seekers, equipping members, and connecting the two. It runs for at least 12 months, and it is measured by a stated result: how many of your members now lead their own Bible study, and how many generations of multiplication have followed. Byron takes on a very small number of churches at a time, so when he’s full there is a waitlist.
Who it is for
- Churches without the staff capacity to lead this themselves
- Churches that want it running quickly, done well
- Leadership ready to commit to a full year
What you get
- Byron as your fractional discipleship minister, remote all year
- Two on-site visits a year, in the fall and the spring
- Identify, Equip and Connect stood up end to end, with PrayQR, Online Classes and Bible Studies, and SoulPath
- Weekly one-on-one coaching for your point leader
- Unlimited Disciple-Maker Cohort seats for your leaders
- Your baseline measured every quarter: how many members lead their own Bible study, and how many generations have followed
- A hand-off by design: after the first year, continue month to month or step down to 1:1 Coaching while your church runs it
What your church provides
- A point person who works alongside Byron week to week
- Volunteers willing to be trained as disciple-makers
- Your elders, meeting with us each quarter to review the numbers
- Your own pastoral care and screening protocol — we’ll tell you what it has to cover, and it stays yours
Outreach first, then multiplication
Six phases across eleven months. The order is the argument: real seekers exist before anyone is trained to meet them, so the training has somewhere to land.
- Months 1–3 · Outreach ministries first. Stand up the prayer ministry and the access-ministry partnerships — building the flow of seekers, and the urgency that comes with seeing it.
- Months 3–5 · First disciple-maker cohort. A small, committed group trains toward opening the Bible one-on-one with seekers who have already been identified.
- Months 5–7 · First matches, second cohort. The first cohort graduates and starts meeting with seekers. A second cohort begins training behind them.
- Months 7–9 · Quarterly classes begin. The new-members class and disciple-maker training move onto their standing quarterly rhythm.
- Months 9–11 · Train the trainer. The reproducibility step — training the people who will train the next disciple makers, so the rhythm does not depend on us.
- Month 11 onward · Scale the system. Cohorts, quarterly classes and trained trainers reinforce each other. The first quarterly elders review lands here.
How we will know it is working
- DMR — Disciple-Maker Rate
- What share of your disciples are actually discipling someone else. The real multiplication signal, not attendance.
- MGD — Maximum Generational Depth
- How many generations deep multiplication has actually reached — disciples of disciples of disciples.
Before we start
Your church signs a short commitment first. If your church cannot pay, a sponsor can cover most of the cost — see how sponsorship works.
- Your minister and elders agree in writing to the changes the work requires.
- One named point leader, and a core group of at least a handful of committed members.
- A baseline measure at the start, and the same measure every quarter.
- Open reporting to CoMission — and to your sponsor, if you have one.
Signing up
After your alignment meeting we’ll send a written agreement: 12 months to start, then month to month, with 30 days’ notice to stop. Your church covers travel for the on-site visits, at cost. Christian Ministry Alliance, CoMission’s fiscal sponsor, then invoices your church monthly.
