This plan walks the passages behind the class Love God for Who He Is.

Many of us come to God afraid, or come only when something needs fixing. God meets people in both places, but neither is meant to be where it ends. You cannot make yourself love God by trying harder to feel it. You can come to know him, and love grows out of knowing.

So bring one question to each of these six passages, and stay with it: what does this show me about who God is? Not only what to do, but who he is. Read each passage twice, retell it in your own words, and let the passage answer. They end where the whole road ends, with a father running toward a son who had not yet said a word, because he loved us first.
