God is already at work in someone near you. Your job is to find them.
When Jesus sent His followers out, He did not tell them to invite people somewhere. He sent them to find people: households where God was already at work, people who would welcome them and listen. Many call them persons of peace.
This changes what service is for. You still serve with no strings attached. But you serve with your eyes open, watching for the person God is already drawing.
Read carefully. Notice how Jesus tells them to recognize the person of peace, and what to do when they find one.
What you write stays in this browser. Nothing is sent to anyone.

An honest prayer
Pray this as it is, or in your own words.
Jesus, go ahead of me the way You went ahead of those seventy-two. Show me the person of peace You have already prepared, and make me ready to stay with them.

Luke 10:1-11 (OTB)
1After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them in pairs ahead of him to every city and place where he himself was about to go. 2He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field. 3Go! Behold, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals, and do not greet anyone along the road. 5When you enter a house, begin by saying, ‘Peace be upon this house.’ 6If a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move from house to house. 8When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9Heal the sick there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10However, if you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and declare, 11‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: the kingdom of God has come near.’
